I’m an author and story architect. I write biblical historical fiction, speculative adventure, and other stories shaped by faith, history, friendship, and the ways people are changed by the worlds they encounter.
For me, being a story architect means more than writing scenes and characters. It means building the world around a story—its history, structure, relationships, questions, imagery, and the small details that make a fictional place or an ancient one feel lived in.
My biblical fiction explores the voices, burdens, and legacies of Israel’s prophets, grounding imagination in the historical and scriptural worlds they inhabited. The Daniel Scroll continues that work as a serialized story released each Thursday. In Because of the Storm, I step into a different kind of world: a speculative adventure about three divided peoples, thirteen unlikely companions, and a storm that changes everything.
Other stories, including From Ashes and the Jake books, travel in still different directions. The settings and genres may change, but I keep returning to many of the same questions: What shapes us? What happens when certainty gives way? And what allows people who are different from one another to become something more than strangers?
From time to time, I also share reflections, background notes, literary art, and updates connected to the stories I’m building.
