Ronnie Harmon is an author and story architect whose work ranges from historically grounded biblical fiction to speculative adventure and contemporary stories of faith, identity, friendship, and change.
His Prophets in Their Times collection reimagines the voices, burdens, and worlds of Israel’s prophets through works including Fifteen Mornings with the Prophet, My Spirit Poured Out, Humbled by Him, and Nineveh, Remembered, along with a collected omnibus edition. He is also the creator of The Daniel Scroll, an ongoing serialized story that returns to the world of Daniel through the eyes of a young Babylonian scribe.
Beyond biblical fiction, Ronnie’s writing moves into very different worlds. Because of the Storm is a speculative adventure about three divided peoples, thirteen unlikely companions, and a storm that changes far more than the landscape. His other fiction includes From Ashes, Jake: his journey of epiphanies, and Jake and the Road of Lights.
Several of his books have also been published in translation. Fifteen Mornings with the Prophet is available in Swahili, Thai, Portuguese, Tagalog, and Burmese, and Nineveh, Remembered is available in Thai.
Ronnie holds a Master of Arts in Missiology and has served in Christian ministry for more than thirty years in the United States and internationally. Those years of ministry, travel, and life across cultures continue to shape both his faith and his storytelling—particularly his interest in how people understand one another, how certainty is challenged, and what happens when familiar worlds begin to change.
He currently lives in Thailand with his wife and works in nonprofit finance while continuing to write. Whether he is reconstructing an ancient setting or building an entirely imagined world, he approaches each project as both author and story architect—developing not only characters and plot, but the histories, relationships, questions, and details that allow a story to feel lived in.
