Jake and the Road of Lights: A Christian Adventure for Younger Readers

Not everything I write is for adults.

Jake and the Road of Lights was written especially with younger readers in mind—a story of adventure, choices, friendship, and learning what it means to follow the right road when the way ahead isn’t always clear.

At the heart of the story are the fruit of Holy Spirit:

“Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”
— Galatians 5:22–23

But Jake doesn’t simply learn a list of virtues. Along the road, he encounters situations that challenge him to understand what those words actually look like when they are lived out.

What does kindness cost when it would be easier to walk away?

What does patience look like when you want an answer now?

How do you choose self-control when another choice seems much easier?

Jake and the Road of Lights invites young readers into those questions through story—because sometimes truth becomes a little easier to understand when we see someone else learning how to live it.

A Christian story for youth about the road we choose, the people we become, and the fruit that begins to grow along the way.
